Jet Dreams changed my life. It is an inspirational film all around and truly drew my heart towards the sport. I grew up in Daytona Beach in the early 90’s and this brought me home. The cinematography and film quality, angles and overall directing is spot on. Understand that your film is still top notch even 20 years later and just like all other great things, I think appreciation will only grow in the future. Congratulations for having the foresight to capture such an amazing time and place in history that otherwise could have been lost forever. 1000 thanks to you for making this film and distributing it to the masses. Good luck on any future endeavors and I hope one of these days we will see a follow up film for Jet Dreams. The resurgence is now!
I saw this video for the Time when I was about 7, which was just a coupleof years after you made the film. I had the vhs version up until about 10 years ago and haven’t been able to find it since. I have been trying to find it on DVD since then and just found your website. I can’t wait to watch it.
I'm honored to actually receive an email from you!
I have an original VHS copy of Jet Dreams still, and
love to watch it every once in a while. Those were the good old days for stand up PWC, and watching the pros in action was really
inspirational to me as a jet ski enthusiast.
Thanks for a great film with an outstanding soundtrack!!
It's a timeless gem for me...
My dad was a "world champion" in the Novice 550's back in the day, and his favorite movie of all time is Jet Dreams. He makes me watch it like once a year just to show me how "cool" he used to be. He had it on a VHS and it broke from being watched so much, and for his birthday I was hoping to get him a new copy, because it'll be the greatest gift ever for him. I was just wondering if you were still selling DVD copies (I saw that you re-released it in 2008) and how I could get one, and for how much.
Jet dreams was instrumental in setting the dream, then after having raced the Australian Jet Ski Championship and owned a Jet Ski Hire business both back in the mid to late 90's I have just got back into riding the stand up this month, saw an excerpt of Jet Dreams on YouTube... now can't wait to view it again in entirety and show my mates.
I bought the VHS version when it came out. The tape is worn out from watching it so much. I am so excited to watch it again in all of its glory. I met Scott and Larry back in the day, both super nice guys. I miss the good ol' days of real jet skis!
Mike D: When your work was first released my brother Johnny purchased a VHS copy and well, let’s just say it was quite the inspiration for us, riding hard on our stand-ups. It would be an understatement to say that “Jet Dreams” was a serious inspiration for my brother Johnny. He went on to form a company catering to high performance PWC’s.
Jimmy: Jet Dreams Timeless. Stand up and rule, sit and be a fool and drool.
Andy G: Best: Thee "feel good" jetski film ever made ... EVER
Jordan S. This show never gets old!!!
I love the movie, as it brings back the color (neon) and excitement of that era when jet skis were the craze.
My buddy actually turned me on to the YouTube clips which spawned my purchase, as I am a huge jet ski nut
This is my favorite movie and look forward to having a dvd copy of it. I own 4 stand up jet skis, I race and freeride so of course I love this movie.
I can’t wait to see this video again! I was a jet ski racer on late 80’s and when I watched this movie for the very first time I got hooked! I bought the VHS and every weekend, before I went jet skiing with my friends or before a race, I used to watch your movie! It was pure inspiration!!!!
It really brings me great memories!
Now I’m 44 years old, but I feel like 24 when I watch Jet Dreams! And I thank you for that!!!
Too bad you couldn’t do a second movie, I’m sure it could have been fantastic!!!
I just watched the video you sent me. I was a Jet Ski racer from the late 80s through the early 90s. I was 19 when I started and have to tell you they are among the best memories of my life. I used to watch Jet Dreams over and over back then. Harry and Fish were my heroes back then. I had posters of them on the wall and would cut up every issue of Splash for cool pictures and put them all over the wall too. Being a FL boy I'd race the Busch World Cup every year and a few stops on the tour. It really took me back watching the video again. It saddens me where the sport has gone but such is life. Thanks for making such an amazing video. I've been bouncing around the country the last few years but am moving back to St. Pete in June. I'm already shopping for Jet Skis... can't wait to get back in the water. Your video just makes me want to ride.
